Dual Bond is an innovative 'floating underlay' system
specially manufactured for the domestic and commercial
flooring industries. Designed to level and protect sub-floors
in differing environments, Dual Bond does not utilise
any fasteners or additional adhesives.
Consisting of two layers of 2.5mm thick hardboard, Dual
Bond has a 'pressure sensitive adhesive' applied to
the sanded face. When these sheets are laid back to
back, a bond is formed. Initially, the sheets can be
adjusted, however, this bond will improve over time.
As the joins between the sheets and layers are staggered
(brick style pattern), the Dual Bond system forms a
strong, flat 'floating floor'. The Dual Bond Hardboard
Underlay system is ideally suited to applications where
temporary or difficult flooring projects require the
benefits of an enviro-friendly, high performance flooring
protection system. Faster and easier to install than
other systems, Dual Bond Hardboard Underlay is the underlay
of the future.
