with the principles of the Privacy Amendment (Private
Sector) Act 2000 Australian Hardboards is committed
to privacy and will take all necessary measures to
guard data carefully. This Privacy Statement has been
developed to assist external parties to be aware of
the nature and use of personal information that may
be collected when they visit a web site belonging
to our company. This policy should be read in conjunction
with the Privacy Statement available on each company
internet or intranet site.
Collection of Information
When a user browses
our web site our Internet Service Provider makes a
record of your visit and logs the following information
for statistical purposes.

· Your top level domain name (for example .com,
.gov, .au, .nz etc)
· The date and time of your visit to the site
· The pages you accessed and documents downloaded
· The previous site you have visited
· The type of browser you are using.
Personal information such as your name, telephone
number, facsimile number, e-mail address, postal or
street address can only be collected after a user
activates an identified button provided on each web
page. Once a user has "clicked" onto this
button we will have deemed that consent has been given
to collect and use personal information.
Any user who does not wish to transmit information
via our web site may forward information through other
channels i.e. postal services or facsimilie. Alternate

Hardboards undertakes all reasonable steps to protect
personal information from loss, misuse or unauthorised
access, no guarantee can be given that information
sent over the internet is 100% secure.
Access of
a User's personal information
A user is generally
entitled to access personal information that is held
by Australian Hardboards Limited. If they believe
that the information is not accurate, complete, or
up-to-date, a request can be made to the Privacy Officer
to have the information amended.

of information collected
Personal
information that has been collected will only be used
for the purposes for which it was intended unless
it is in the public interest to do so or as required
by law. Personal information will not be utilised
for any secondary purposes without your consent.

time to time, we may wish to carry out a voluntary
survey for feedback. Before collecting survey results,
we will advise a user of the purpose of the survey
and provide the facility to enable them to exit the
survey at any time.
